H & N's Excellent Christmas Adventures - Day 4

ever since meredith carlson's b-day party in elementary school where we each got our own leotards and skated around the riverview ice house,
i have been a fan of ice skating.

although, i didn't really know what i was getting into when i went with mr. fancy pants ice skater
(and i thought i was cool because i could skate backwards).
i guess you learn a thing or two when you grow up playing hockey.

anywho, we headed downtown to the most adorable little rink (thanks southwest airlines!)...
adorned with christmas lights...
and full of the sounds of christmas music...
and starbucks salted carmel hot chocolate in hand (so delicious)...
and set off on the ice.

and really...
what ice skating trip would be complete with a photo of your best ice skater pose...
