day 1 in the emerald city

we arrived in seattle on monday afternoon to a slight chill in the air and a little drizzle...
perfect seattle weather in my opinion.

first stop?
the patagonia store of course:)

after warming up in the store, we took off for pike place market...
only after seeing this sign.
i thought it was appropriate for the first leg of our trip.

(it was quite windy.)

we finally made it.
i was running through the intro video from the real world seattle as we walked to the market.

first stop?
the first starbucks store...of course!
nick was in heaven.
i love that he's not too cool to be obsessed with starbucks.

then we just had to see the famous fish...

admire the beautiful flowers...



and make a stop here.

their mac and cheese will CHANGE YOUR LIFE.
not even lying.
they make their own cheese right there.
and you can watch.
it's incredible.

then it was off to the aquarium.

where we became one with the fishies...
(literally)

in my opinion...the best part of visiting an aquarium is making up voices for the fish.
especially this guy:)



right as we were leaving our fish friends,
the sun came out!

we stopped here to map out our evening and grab a drink.

stella is oh so delicious.

after some guidance and dinner recommendations from our waitress,
we made our way to the gum wall.
quite impressive and a little gross at the same time.

we ended our evening at elliott's on the pier.
our favorite part of the night?
the bib for the crab.
hand's down.
we looked like little kids.
it was great.

seattle, i really like you.
