even though the thankful craze has seemed to have died in the midst of shopping for the latest deals, this is my blog and i'll do what i want.
and i still want to ride the thankful wave.
so, without further ado, my thanksgiving break in statements of thankfulness.

i am thankful i live in a country where it's perfectly acceptable to wear your sweatpants tucked into your fuggs on your walk to get starbies.
i am thankful for restaurants with patios, the strong colorado sun, and lunch with my in-laws at a neighborhood joint.
i am thankful for used bookstores that conveniently carry this month's book club book for only 4 bucks.
what. a. steal.
i am thankful for shopping and ice cream.
always and everywhere.
{and it helps when you are shopping for christmas decor
that your mother in law insists on buying for you.}
i am thankful my husband orders ice cream in a cup because it reminds me there are things in life i will never understand.
the ice cream and cone combo is one of the best combos in the world, right?
i am thankful for my very best friend and night before thanksgiving apps and zerts.
and sleepovers! i am very thankful for sleepovers.
i am thankful that my brother in law has single handedly made me obsessed with bloody marys.
seriously delicious.
i am thankful for gooey cinnamon rolls that call my name.
i am thankful for family ridiculousness.
i am thankful for bed head, and coffee breath, and pjs.
and the family who has to love you even when you look roooouuuugh.
i am thankful for our loyal guard dogs.
i am thankful for us.
{so very thankful}
i am thankful for this, the single greatest thanksgiving staple.
and don't even try to tell me it's gross.
i will defend the jelly goodness to my death.
i am thankful for a thanksgiving meal with an incredible view of the city i love so much.
i am thankful for turkey with a view and the men who cut it so that the grossness doesn't affect my ability to enjoy it on my plate.
i am thankful for a perfectly set thanksgiving table.
i am thankful for the family that fills the seats at the table and the life that is shared over a meal.
i am thankful for corn on top of my potatoes (yes, i'm five) and a colorful plate of delicious food.
i am thankful for the detroit lions.
{but i am not thankful for challenge flags.}
i am thankful for this stud muffin.
i am thankful that God is throwing out all the stops on denver sunsets this week.
i am thankful for multiple forms of pumpkin dessert.
i am thankful that the age old phrase is true...
"like father, like son."
i am thankful for days that end with tea in our matching mugs.
i am thankful for 9 news, clapping on cue for the viewers at home, and the city and county building covered in christmas cheer.
i am thankful for generous in-laws who treated us to so many amazing meals out on the town.
