of inspirational country music, you never know what you might do.
for instance...
today while running, this song came on my ipod...
and i decided to sign up for the denver marathon in october.
then i came home and actually registered.
yes. i'm running a marathon.
omg.
it's been a goal of mine for a long time now, and as i was listening to this song i couldn't help but think of all the strong women i've known.
those who have faced extreme loss and pain but have responded with strength.
i especially thought of one of my co-workers who lost her fight with cancer this past week.
and when i think of them, i can't help but be inspired.
inspired to push myself to do what i thought was always impossible.
so here goes nothing.
now or never, right?
yikes.
great song!!!

so proud of you!! wish I could be there to cheer you on!
ReplyDeleteyou are awesome!!!!
ReplyDeleteYES I am very proud of you! Oct is the perfect timing, because you get to train in the beautiful summer!
ReplyDeleteWay to go GF! Impressive... you have to see Country Strong, Chris & I saw it and know you would like it. I even intuned the soundtrack.
ReplyDeleteMy last marathon was hard. I was sick, I did not want to do it, but I had committed. I don't give up.
ReplyDeleteI felt horrible physically but mentally I was strong. I have a friend going through Chemo, that is hard. Cancer is hard, a marathon is easy.
Decide you can do it, train and run. Running is easy.
Best,
elena
